  1. Step 1

    Purchase a chatz™ card at a Digi Store or authorised vendor near you.
     
    From a mobile or fixed line, dial the chatz™ access number that corresponds with your preferred language (see table).
     
  2. Step 2

    Follow the instructions and enter your chatz™ PIN followed by # when prompted. Then, enter your destination number followed by #.
     
    Your call will be connected and your available talktime will be announced.

How to Check and Reload chatz™ Credit

    Checking chatz™ Credit
     
    Call 1800 28 2828 and follow the instructions.
     
    If you are registered with chatz™ Easy Connect, just type BAL and send it to 016 226 0066.
  2. Step 2

    Reloading chatz™ Credit3
     
    Have your chatz™ PIN (from the old card and new card) ready. Then, call 1800 28 2828 and follow the instructions.
     
    If you are registered with chatz™ Easy Connect, just type TOP<space>N<new chatz™ PIN> (e.g. TOP N012345678901234) and send it to 016 226 0066.
     
  3. Step 3

    Transferring chatz™ Credit
     
    If you are registered with chatz™ Easy Connect, you can transfer your credit to another registered Chatz™ Easy Connect user. Just type CTR<space>B<Phone number>D<Amount> (e.g. CTR B0123456789D10) and send it to 016 226 0066.

chatz™ rates
  • 1chatz™ rates are subject to change without prior notification. All charges are based on a 60-second charging block. A 6% service tax is included in all chatz™ rates.
 
How to Use chatz™
  • 2Calls made from mobile lines to Freephone numbers are free.
  • Calls made from mobile lines are subject to local call charges which will be billed to the user’s Digi Postpaid™ account or deducted from their Digi Prepaid™ account.
 
3Reloading chatz™ Credit
  • Both old and new chatz™ cards must be valid (i.e. not expired).
  • The combined value of both cards cannot be more that RM1,000 after credit transfer, at any given time.
  • All denominations of chatz™ cards (RM10, RM30, RM50 and RM100) can be used for chatz™-load except the complimentary chatz™ card of RM2.
  • Once a chatz™ card’s value has been reloaded to another card, the balance becomes zero and the card will no longer be valid.
  • chatz™ users are responsible for all chatz™-load transactions. Digi will not entertain any error in chatz™ value transfers executed by users.
 
4Earn Rewards with chatz™ Direct
  • Your phone number(s) must be registered with chatz™ Easy Connect before you can earn chatz™ credit via chatz™ Direct.
  • Effective 1st March 2015, we will revamp our chatz™ Self Care Portal. Please re-register your account with the same card you have previously registered in the chatz™ Self Care Portal.

1. What is chatz™ IDD/STD calling card?

chatz™ IDD/STD calling card is a Prepaid Calling Card that allows you to make national and/or international calls at a much lower rate compared to the published IDD rate. You can also limit your national or international on-call charges with chatz™ IDD/STD calling card.

2. Do I need to register with Digi in order to use this service?

No. Anybody can buy the chatz™ IDD/STD calling card and simply dial the access number (printed on the card) and follow the voice instructions to make a call to any country overseas.

3. Can I use the chatz™ IDD/STD calling card on any phone?

Yes, you can. You can make calls from any phone as long as it is a touch-tone phone.

4. Will I be charged when I call 1800 28 2828?

No, you will not be charged when you call 1800 28 2828.

5. What are the denominations offered for chatz™ IDD/STD calling cards?

chatz™ IDD/STD calling cards come in the following denominations:
  • RM10
  • RM30
  • RM50
  • RM100

6. Where can I purchase a chatz™ IDD/STD calling card?

You can purchase chatz™ IDD/STD calling cards at Digi Stores, selected e-pay terminals, Whoops! terminals, MOL ePoints, selected petrol stations and/or any other appointed dealers.

7. Can I use chatz™ IDD/STD calling card to call any country in the world?

Yes, you can use the chatz™ IDD/STD calling card to call any country in the world.

8. What is my chatz™ card's validity period?

Your chatz™ card's validity period is the expiry date printed on the physical chatz™ card. It is the final date you can use the card to reload or activate the chatz™ card.

9. How long will it be before my chatz™ credit expires?

Your chatz™ credit will expire twelve (12) months after the first-used date. For example, if you first used the chatz™ card on 1 Jan 2011, the credit in your chatz™ card will expire on 31 Dec 2011. The credit validity can be extended for another twelve (12) months if you reload before the end of your credit's expiry date. To check your credit validity period, text BAL to 016 226 0066.

10. What is the charging block for chatz™?

The charging block for chatz™ calls is 60 seconds.

11. Do chatz™ IDD rates vary based on the time of day?

No, chatz™ IDD rates are the same at any given time of day.

12. How do I register for chatz™ Easy Connect?

chatz™ Easy Connect is a service that allows you to make international calls using chatz™ IDD/STD calling cards without having to key in the 15-digit PIN.

2. Who can register for chatz™ Easy Connect?

All chatz™ users can register for chatz™ Easy Connect.

3. How do I register for chatz™ Easy Connect?

Just type REG<space>P<15-digit PIN>R<phone number> and send it to 016 226 0066 to register.

4. Can I use chatz™ Easy Connect on any phone? Can it be a number that belongs to a foreign network?

Yes, you can make calls from any phone as long as it is a touch-tone phone. You can use a mobile line (of any local network operator) or fixed line, but it cannot be a number from a foreign network.

5. How do I make calls with chatz™ Easy Connect?

Just call 1800 28 2828 from the registered number number – and follow instruction given.

6. What happens if I run out of balance on my registered chatz™ IDD/STD calling card?

Just purchase a new chatz™ card and chatz™-load the new value into the existing card. To perform chatz™-load, call 1800 28 2828 from any registered phone and follow the voice prompts.
 
You can also reload your Chatz™ card through SMS. SMS TOP N<RELOAD PIN>  to 016-2260066.  
 

7. What happens if my registered chatz™ IDD/STD calling card has expired?

Once expired, the card cannot be used anymore. You will have to deregister/delete the expired card from the registered phone number and then register the phone number to a new chatz™ IDD/STD calling card.
 
All Chatz™ card balance will be forfeited.

8. How do I remove a phone number that is tied to a particular chatz™ IDD/STD calling card?

Just type DEL<space>R<phone number> and send it to 016 226 0066 to remove a phone number from your chatz™ card.

9. I still have credit in my chatz™ IDD/STD calling card. Will I lose my credit if I change my registered phone number?

No, you will not lose your chatz™ credit by changing numbers.

chatz™ Direct

1. What is chatz™ Direct?

chatz™ Direct is a programme that allows you to earn chatz™ credit when you introduce the chatz™ IDD/STD calling card to your family and friends. All you have to do is share your chatz™ credit with them!

2. How is chatz™ Direct available?

chatz™ Direct is automatically available to all chatz™ IDD/STD calling card users who are registered with chatz™ Easy Connect.

3. How do I share my chatz™ IDD/STD calling card balance?

Just type BTR<space>B<your friend or family member's mobile number>D<transfer amount> and send it to 016 226 0066. Both you and your friend/family member will receive SMS notifications when the transaction is successful.
 
Example: BTR B0161234567D10 (to transfer RM10 to 016 123 4567)
 
You are allowed share your card balance based on available Chatz™ denomination (e.g. RM10, RM30, RM50, RM100).
 

4. Who can I introduce chatz™ IDD/STD calling card to? Do they need to fulfill a specific criteria?

You can introduce the chatz™ IDD/STD calling card to anyone who has yet to register with chatz™.

5. How do I make calls as a chatz™ Direct user?

Making calls as a chatz™ Direct user is exactly the same as other chatz™ Easy Connect customers who do not use chatz™ Direct.

6. My chatz™ credit balance is low. What can I do?

  • Purchase a new chatz™ card
    • Call 1800 28 2828 from any number that is registered to your account and follow the voice prompts; or
    • Text TOP<space>N<new chatz™ PIN> and send it to 016 226 0066.
  • Request a credit transfer
    • Get your friend to text CTR<space>B<your mobile number>D<transfer amount> and send it to 016 226 0066.

7. What happens if my chatz™ Direct account has expired?

If you let your chatz™ Direct account expire, all your chatz™ Direct rewards together with the family and friends that you have tied to your expired account will be lost.
 
You will have to deregister/delete the expired card from the registered phone number and then register the phone number to a new chatz™ IDD/STD calling card by texting DEL<space>R<phone number> to 016 226 0066.

8. What if I want to change the mobile number that is registered under chatz™ Direct? Will I lose my existing chatz™ Direct rewards and/or contacts?

No, you will not lose your existing chatz™ Direct rewards and/or contacts as these details are tied to your chatz™ Direct account instead of your mobile number. Just call us at 1800 28 2828 to deregister the number in question.

9. What sort of rewards will I get for introducing chatz™ to my friends and family?

There are two ways of earning rewards via chatz™ Direct:
  • Direct Contact Rewards: After introducing the chatz™ to your family and friends, they will become your direct contacts. You will earn 4% of their chatz™ usage.
  • Indirect Contact Rewards: If your direct contacts introduce chatz™ to other people, those people will become your indirect contacts. You will earn 0.5% of their chatz™ usage.

10. Can I reactivate an expired chatz™ IDD/STD calling card?

No, you cannot reactivate an expired chatz™ IDD/STD calling card. All rewards and contacts attached to the card will be forfeited.

1. What is chatz™-load?

chatz™-load allows you to transfer credit from a new chatz™ card to your existing one so that you can extend the validity period of your credit balance.

2. Do I have to register with chatz™ Easy Connect before I can use chatz™-load?

Yes, you have to register with chatz™ Easy Connect before you can use chatz™-load.

3. Will I be charged for transferring credit via chatz™-load?

No, you will not be charged for transferring credit from one chatz™ card to another via chatz™-load. However, once a chatz™ card reaches zero credit (RM0), it will no longer be valid.

4. Can I keep my existing chatz™ PIN after the transaction?

Yes, you can keep your existing chatz™ PIN after the transaction.

5. Can I use chatz™-load if one of my chatz™ IDD/STD calling card is expired?

No, you can't. Both chatz™ IDD/STD calling cards must not be expired.

6. Is there a transfer limit?

You can make as many transfers as you like (in denominations of RM10, RM30, RM50 and/or RM100), but you cannot have more than RM1,000 in a chatz™ IDD/STD calling card at any given time.

7. Can I use any chatz™ card to perform a chatz™-load?

You can only use the RM10, RM30, RM50 and RM100 chatz™ cards to perform a chatz™-load. The complimentary RM2 chatz™ card is not applicable.

8. What will happen to a chatz™ card after its value is transferred to another card?

The chatz™ card will no longer be valid once its value is transferred to another card.

9. How do I use chatz™-load?

You must first have at least two (2) chatz™ IDD/STD calling cards with you to perform a chatz™-load.

There are two (2) ways to do it:
  • Call 1800 28 2828 from any number that is registered to your account and follow the voice prompts.
  • Perform a chatz™-load via SMS by typing TOP<space>N<new chatz™ PIN> and send it to 016 226 0066.
  • Each SMS sent will be subjected the standard SMS rates, as per your service provider.
