  • For Daily Postpaid Unlimited Internet Roaming at RM36 or RM56/day for selected network operators only:
    Separate Daily Postpaid Internet Roaming charges will apply if you connect to the Internet via different network operators / in different regions on the same day.
    For example, if you are in Vietnam and you roam with Vinaphone and Viettel (RM56/day respectively), you will be charged RM112 (RM56X2).

3. Which are the countries that I can roam with Roam Like Home Monthly?

4. What is the validity period of Roam Like Home Monthly?

Roam Like Home Monthly is a monthly recurring package and is renewed automatically according to the bill cycle of your Postpaid Plan. The standard validity of Roam Like Home Monthly is from 00:00AM on the start date till 23:59PM on the end date of your bill cycle, Malaysia time. If the subscription is done anytime within the bill cycle, the validity of Roam Like Home Monthly will start from the time of subscription.

5. How much does Roam Like Home Monthly cost if I subscribe any time within the bill cycle?

A standard monthly fee of RM30 is charged for Roam Like Home Monthly. There is no proration of charging if you subscribe at any time during your bill cycle. However, you will still be getting the full 5GB of Internet roaming and 60 minutes of Voice Calls upon subscription which is valid for the remaining period of your bill cycle.

6. Is there any discount for Roam Like Home Monthly subscriptions?

Subscribe to Roam Like Home Monthly and you will enjoy monthly discounts on selected plans which apply till Dec 2017:
  • Digi Postpaid plan / Biz SmartFree (80 above) – monthly RM30 discount(except Digi Postpaid 100 Infinite where RM20 discount applies)
  • Digi Postpaid plan / Biz SmartFree (70 to 80) – monthly RM20 discount
  • Digi Postpaid plan / Biz SmartFree (70 below) – no discount

Note: The monthly discount is applicable only if Roam Like Home Monthly subscription is active since subscription day. Any cancellation of subscription of the Roam Like Home Monthly will result in your discount being forfeited in the remaining months.

Roam Like Home Monthly is offered in partnership with specific roaming operators. As such, you will need to ensure that you are logged onto the correct network. Please manually select the applicable networks for the relevant participating countries below to enjoy Roam Like Home Monthly, and ensure you are always connected to the correct network.

No. Roam Like Home Monthly is a monthly subscription that gives you 5GB and 60 mins on a monthly basis. You may use it anytime you roam in the participating countries and networks.

10. Can I use Roam Like Home Monthly in Malaysia?

Roam Like Home Monthly is only valid when you are roaming in selected countries and networks. Your domestic usages and quota will be charged and consumed from your domestic plan.

11. Will my Roam Like Home Monthly’s voice and Internet quota be depleted for usages in Malaysia?

No. Any domestic usage will be consumed from your domestic plan quota. Your Roam Like Home Monthly quota will only be consumed for usages within the participating countries and networks.

12. I would like to enjoy the monthly discount on Roam Like Home Monthly but I have been informed that I don’t belong to an eligible rate plan. What can I do?

You may opt to change your plan to an eligible rate plan to enjoy the monthly discount. Please note that penalty fees may be imposed if you perform a pre-mature contract termination.

13. How do I subscribe to Roam Like Home Monthly?

You can walk in to any Digi outlet, authorised dealer stores or call in to Digi’s Customer Service Helpline at 016-2211800 and request for Roam Like Home Monthly activation before you travel. Please also request to activate the Roaming service in order to use the service overseas.

14. I am already subscribed to Roam Like Home Monthly, can I still purchase any other Roaming Pass?

Yes, even with Roam Like Home Monthly, you may still purchase additional Roaming Passes. Please note that the Roaming Pass’ validity and quota will supersede your Roam Like Home Monthly subscription. Your Roam Like Home Monthly subscription will automatically resume once your Roaming Pass expires.

15. How do I check the quota balance and validity of my Roam Like Home Monthly?

2. On the Usage page, select “View Details”

We recommend that you always check your balance and validity to ensure a seamless roaming experience.

16. What will happen if I use up my Roam Like Home Monthly Voice minutes and Internet roaming quota?

If your Roam Like Home Monthly Voice minutes and Internet quota is exhausted within your bill cycle, any subsequent roaming usages will be charged at standard roaming rates, on top of the monthly fee. Alternatively, you may purchase any Roaming Pass to continue enjoying Roaming voice calls and Internet roaming.

17. Can I unsubscribe from Roam Like Home Monthly? What will happen to my balance voice minutes and Internet quota?

You can walk in to any Digi outlet or approach any authorised dealer stores to unsubscribe to Roam Like Home Monthly. Please note that there will be no refunds granted on unutilised Roam Like Home Monthly balance upon termination at any point of time. The remaining Voice minutes and Internet quota will be forfeited with immediate effect. The monthly discount (if any) will stop from the month your subscription is cancelled.

18. I have unutilised Roam Like Home Monthly quota from the current month. Will this quota be carried forward to the following month?

No. Your Roam Like Home Monthly’s monthly quota is only valid within the bill cycle month. Any unutilised balance from your current bill cycle will not be carried forward to the following bill cycle. Your Roam Like Home Monthly monthly quota will be renewed only at the start of bill cycle.

19. How many times do I need to subscribe to Roam Like Home Monthly? Will I be able to repeat my subscription?

Roam Like Home Monthly is incorporated into your domestic plan. Only a one-time subscription is required.

20. My Roam Like Home Monthly quota is not exhausted yet, why am I still being charged at standard roaming rates?

YRoam Like Home Monthly is valid for applicable roaming usages within the participating networks. Any usage outside the participating networks will be charged as per standard rates on top of the monthly fee. We recommend that you always check and ensure that you are connected to the correct participating operator.

21. If I subscribe to Roam Like Home Monthly, does it cover all my roaming usages within the bill cycle?

Roam Like Home Monthly will be effective only after subscription. Any roaming usage before the subscription will be charged at standard roaming rates. For example, if your bill cycle is from the 1st to 30th of the month and you subscribe to Roam Like Home Monthly on the 15th of the month at 14:00PM, any roaming usage between the 1st to 15th before 13:59PMwill be charged as per standard rates. Any roaming usage from 15th at 14:00PM onwards will fall under Roam Like Home Monthly offers.

22. I am subscribed to Roam Like Home Monthly. I would like to request to change my existing bill cycle date, what will happen to my unutilised Roam Like Home Monthly voice minutes and Internet quota?

Your Roam Like Home Monthly quota under the old bill cycle date will be forfeited. Your Roam Like Home Monthly quota will be renewed on the new bill cycle date. Changing of bill cycle dates will amount to an unsubscription of Roam Like Home Monthly.

1. What is *111* Voice Call?

*111* Voice Call is a callback service for making voice calls to Malaysian and non-Malaysian numbers when you are roaming overseas.

2. How do I make a *111* Voice Call while roaming?

Simply dial:

Your call will be routed to Digi’s network before disconnecting. You will then receive an incoming call on your mobile in 15 seconds.
Upon answering, a dial tone will indicate that you have been connected to your destination number. If the person you are calling does not answer within 40 seconds, your call will be ended and you will be charged accordingly.

No, the service is available when you have activated your International Roaming service.

4. Is *111* Voice Call always supported, no matter which country I'm roaming in?

*111* Voice Call can only be used in countries with supported USSD services, so not all Digi roaming partners will support *111* Voice Call.

5. Do I have to answer the incoming call from Digi after I have dialed a number using *111* Voice Call?

Yes. You will only be connected to the number that you have dialed after you answer the incoming call from Digi.

6. Will I be charged for a call that is diverted to another number?

Yes. *111* Voice Call roaming charges apply when you answer the incoming call from the Digi network that connects you to the diverted number.

7. Will there be any charges incurred for voicemail messages received while roaming?

Yes, if your voicemail service is activated while you are roaming, you will be charged with both receiving and outgoing roaming voice call charges for any voicemail deposited to your voicemail box while you are roaming. These charges will vary according to the selected roaming network.

8. What is Automatic International Roaming?

Automatic International Roaming is a pre-activated roaming service offered by Digi Prepaid™ that allows you to make calls from your mobile phone while travelling overseas.

9. Will I be charged if I call the Digi Customer Service Helpline while roaming?

Simply dial *125# and you will enjoy zero charge for first 5 minutes. You will be charged RM0.50/min for subsequent minutes.

10. When will my roaming charges be added to my Postpaid bill?

Your roaming charges will be added to your bill immediately after Digi is updated by the roaming partner that you have been roaming with, but may be reflected in your current or following month’s bill depending on when Digi receives the update.

11. Why wasn’t my line barred immediately upon reaching or exceeding my credit limit while roaming?

Sometimes, your line won’t be barred immediately because of delayed update(s) from our roaming partner(s) regarding your usage. Until we receive the update(s) from them, we won't know that you have reached or exceeded your credit limit.

12. I have turned off data roaming and was using Wifi. Why am I still charged for data roaming usage?

It is possible for some smartphone and Wifi connection to still incur data roaming usage even if you have turned off Data Roaming on your phone settings. Should you need to really turn off data roaming, we recommend the following steps; otherwise avoid bill shock with our Daily Unlimited Internet Roaming or purchase Roaming Pass.

a) Switch OFF Mobile Data and Data Roaming
b) Switch ON flight mode
c) Switch OFF flight mode
d) Turn on WIFI ONLY (If data is required)

13. What should I do if I have enquiries or encounter problems with my mobile service while roaming?

Should you have enquiries or encounter problems with your mobile service while roaming, you may contact us with either of the following channels:

14. What is AeroMobile® Roaming service?

With AeroMobile roaming service, Digi subscribers can use their own mobile phone for making and receiving calls, sending and receiving SMS and Internet surfing whilst inflight. You can only use your mobile phone on an aircraft which has been equipped with the AeroMobile Network. Specially certified hardware has been installed inside these aircraft to make it safe to use mobile phones onboard.

15. When and where can I use the AeroMobile® Roaming service?

The cabin crew will make an announcement if the service is available and will let you know when you can turn your phone on and use the service. The AeroMobile network becomes available when the aircraft has reached 6000 metres above the ground. The network is available throughout the cruise phase of the flight but phones must be switched off for take-off and landing. Currently this service is available on board selected aircrafts.

16. What should I see on my device for AeroMobile® Roaming service?

Once you’ve turned on your device you should connect to the AeroMobile network fairly quickly. AeroMobile will be displayed as the network provider and you will receive a welcome text message. You can then make and receive calls, texts, email and browse just as you would on the ground.

This is a daily validity offer according to the capital city time of your roamed country. E.g. if you are in Australia and start browsing from 01:00AM Canberra time, your daily validity will expire at 11:59PM Canberra time. Should you continue to browse after 12AM Canberra time, you will be charged RM36 x 2 = RM72.

5. What happens if I start browsing before midnight and throughout the next day while in the same country? How will I be charged?

You will be charged for 2 days of usage. E.g. If you start browsing from 11:30PM until 2AM in Australia, you will be charged at a max cap of RM72 (RM36x2 days).

6. Do I need to unsubscribe from the Daily Unlimited Internet Roaming pass?

No, the Daily Unlimited Internet Roaming pass will expire automatically once the validity has ended.

8. How will I be charged if I roam with more than one operator in the same country on the same day?

You will only be charged a max cap of RM36/country/day or RM56/country/day depending on the roamed country’s respective rates. E.g. If you are in Singapore and you connect to Starhub in the morning and Singtel in the afternoon on the same day, you will be charged a max cap of RM36/day.

9. If I use the Internet while I roam in more than one country on the same day, how will I be charged?

You will be charged a max cap of RM72 (RM36x2 countries) for the day or RM112 (RM56X2 countries), depending on the roamed country’s respective rates. E.g. if you use the Internet while you roam in China in the morning and Hong Kong in the afternoon, you will be charged for both countries.

10. Do I need to manually select a specific operator or can I use any available operators in the country I roam in?

You will be connected to any available operator in the country automatically without the need to manually select a specific operator.

11. What happens if I can’t connect to any operator automatically? Do I still need to manually select an operator?

This offer allows you to seamlessly connect to any operator without the need to manually select a specific network operator. In normal circumstances, your phone should automatically connect to an operator if you set it to Automatic selection mode. However, if your device still fails to connect to a network operator with this setting, kindly do a manual search and connect to any available network operators.

12. Is there any applicable Fair Usage Policy?

Yes. Fair Usage Policy applies and the Internet speed will be reduced when you reach the daily fair usage quota.

13. What are the services available for Daily Unlimited Internet Roaming?

Daily Unlimited Internet Roaming supports email, browsing and social messaging. For Video Streaming, it will be the best effort for service delivery.

14. Once I have reached my daily Fair Usage Quota, can I still enjoy data roaming without any additional charges?

Yes. You can still continue browsing without incurring any additional roaming Internet charges even though you have reached your fair usage quota. However, your Internet usage speed will be reduced till the end of the day.

15. Can I restore my Internet roaming speed upon reaching the daily Fair Usage Quota?

No. Your Internet speed will be reduced till the end of the day.

16. If I’ve reached my daily Fair Usage Quota, will I be charged for the Internet usage after the FUP quota?

Any Internet usages after the FUP will not be charged.

17. Are Postpaid International Roaming services subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST)?

For Postpaid customers, roaming transactions incurred from 1 April 2015 onwards will be exempt from GST. These transactions will not be subject to GST on the total roaming charges of your monthly bill.
