A Roaming Pass allows you to purchase roaming internet/data services and/or roaming voice minutes for use abroad.

2. What are the available Roaming Pass?

The available Roaming Passes are as follows:-

4. Where can I subscribe to Roaming Pass?

You may purchase/subscribe to a Roaming Pass upon arrival in the participating country. Roaming Passes are valid only when roaming in participating countries and networks.

5. How do I subscribe to Roaming Pass?

A. Prior to departure, ensure that:-
1) Your Digi Postpaid/Prepaid account has at least a basic mobile internet/data plan;
2) Your Postpaid or Prepaid account status is designated as ‘Active’; and
3) Your International Roaming has been activated.
B. Check our website (http://new.digi.com.my/roaming/roaming-pass) for participating countries and operators.
C. Ensure that Data Roaming or Cellular Data/Mobile Data is turned off on your mobile phone before arriving at your destination.
D. Upon arrival at the destination:-
1) Dial *800#
2) Select ‘3’ for “Purchase Roaming Pass” to subscribe;
3) You will receive an SMS confirming successful Roaming Pass purchase;
4) Manually select the specified/applicable network operator;
5) Turn on Data Roaming or Cellular Data/Mobile Data on your mobile phone

6. How long do I have to wait for Roaming Pass to be activated upon subscription?

The Roaming Pass activation is almost immediate. You will receive an SMS notification upon successful purchase/subscription, for example: "You have subscribed/purchased Roam5-SGP"

7. What are the validity periods for the Roaming Pass?

   Roam5/Roam10 Social Pass:   24 hours
   RoamCombo:   72 hours
   RoamTelenor :   72 hours
The Roaming Pass will commence from time of purchase and will expire in 24 or 72 hours (as the case may be) from the time of purchase. For example, if you arrived in Japan and subscribed to Roam10 Social Pass at 10:00pm, you will have access to unlimited social messaging in Japan until 9.59pm the following day.
The validity of each Roaming Pass are calculated on hourly basis i.e. 1 day Roaming Pass valid for 24 hours and 3 days Roaming Pass valid for 72 hours, from the time of purchase.

8. Can I purchase and use Roaming Pass from anywhere?

Roaming Passes are only valid for purchase and use in participating countries and network as an add-on feature to your Digi line. For example, you can only purchase Roam5-AUS when you are roaming in Australia and not when you are roaming in other countries.

9. Can I use Roaming Pass while I am in Malaysia?

No, Roaming Passes are not available for use in Malaysia.

10. Can I carry forward or transfer unutilised Roaming Pass balance to another number?

No, all unutilised Roaming Voice minutes or Internet Roaming quota from Roaming Pass cannot be carried forward nor transferred. Your unused Roaming Voice minutes or Internet Roaming quota will automatically expire and be forfeited at the end of the Roaming Pass validity period.

11. I have purchased an additional Roaming Pass even before my existing pass expired. What happens to my Roaming Pass quota and validity?

The Roaming Pass quota will accumulate with each purchase. The validity period will then apply in accordance with the latest Roaming Pass purchase. For example, if you purchase a Roam10 pass in New Zealand at 6.00pm, and you then purchase another Roam10 pass at 11.00pm on the same day before the first Roam10 pass expires, you will incur a total charge of RM20 (for two Roam10 passes), and your Roam10 expiry will be on 10.59pm of the following day in New Zealand.
To conserve consumption of quota, we recommend that you turn off all applications on your device which may consume data in the background (e.g. e-mail, auto-sync, auto-updates and notifications).

12. How do I check my balance quota and validity for Roaming Pass purchased?

13. What happens if I have used up the 50MB full speed Internet roaming quota of Roam10/Roam5?

As long as your Roam10/Roam5 is still within the subscription validity period, you can still enjoy Unlimited Social Messaging [on any chat based application] even though you have used up the 50MB full speed Internet roaming quota. Should you wish to continue enjoying full speed internet/data roaming on other mediums, you may purchase another Roaming Pass for more quota.

14. What does RoamCombo/RoamTelenor refer to?

RoamCombo/RoamTelenor covers:
  a. Roaming Voice calls to Malaysia mobile and Malaysia fixed-line numbers (Call Home)
  b. Roaming Voice calls to mobile and fixed line numbers of the visited participating country numbers (Call Local)
  c. Receiving Voice calls when roaming in participating countries
  d. Internet roaming (Internet usage within the participating country and network).
Any usages on other networks will be charged as standard roaming rates on top on the Roaming Pass fee.
(note: voice calls are based on 60 sec charging block)

15. What usage does not RoamCombo/RoamTelenor cover?

RoamCombo/RoamTelenor does not cover following usages:
   - Roaming voice calls to any other International destinations numbers besides Malaysia or Visiting participating country number.
   - Roaming voice calls to premium or satellite numbers.
   - Voicemail calls / retrieval when roaming.
   - Sending and Receiving SMS when roaming.
   - Sending and Receiving MMS when roaming.

16. What will happen if I have used up my RoamCombo/RoamTelenor Voice minutes and Internet roaming quota?

If your RoamCombo/RoamTelenor Voice minutes and Internet quota is exhausted within the validity period, any subsequent roaming usages will be charged at standard roaming rates. Alternatively, you may purchase any additional Roaming Pass to continue enjoying Roaming voice calls and Internet roaming.

17. My RoamCombo/RoamTelenor quota is not exhausted yet, why am I still being charged at standard roaming rates?

RoamCombo/RoamTelenor applicable for roaming usages within the participating country and network. Any usage use outside the participating country and network will be charged as per standard rate on top of the Roaming Pass fee. We recommend that you always check and ensure you are connected to the correct participating operator.

18. Can I unsubscribe from a Roaming Pass? What do I do if I no longer wish to have internet/data roaming access?

The Roaming Pass will expire automatically when the validity period ends. There is no need to unsubscribe.
To avoid being charged with additional roaming rates or fees, you are advised to disable or turn off the 'Data Roaming' or 'Cellular Data/Mobile Data' function on your phone before the validity period expires. You will otherwise then subject to standard international roaming charges.

19. How many times can I subscribe to Roaming Pass? Will I be able to repeat my subscription?

There is no subscription limit and you may purchase additional Roaming Pass at any point of time. Kindly note however that the validity period for each Roaming Pass will commence from point of purchase.

20. If I am already on Digi Unlimited Daily Internet Roaming, can I still subscribe to Roaming Pass?

Yes, but separate charges for both packages will apply. The standard Internet Roaming charges shall apply if your 'Data Roaming' has already been enabled prior to your Roaming Pass purchase. Should you purchase to any Roaming Pass on the same day, you will be charged for both the Digi Unlimited Internet Roaming + Roaming Pass. For example, if you were already roaming on Telstra in Australia with Digi Unlimited Daily Internet Roaming and subsequently purchase Roam5, you will be charged RM36+RM5= RM42 for the same day.
We advise that you enable your 'Data Roaming' or 'Cellular Data/Mobile Data' function only after you have purchase a Roaming Top Up to avoid multiple charges.
 

21. Can I use Roaming Pass on any mobile phone device (iPhone/Android/Blackberry)?

Yes, the Roaming Pass is applicable to most mobile phones.
To conserve consumption of quota, we recommend that you turn off all applications on your device which may consume data in the background (e.g. e-mail, auto-sync, updates and notifications).

22. Are the Roaming Passes available for all rate plans?

The Roaming Passes are available for Digi Postpaid and Digi Prepaid subscribers . Kindly note that you will need to have at least a basic mobile internet/data plan to purchase the pass. Your line status must also be designated 'Active'.

23. Can I enjoy the Roaming Pass in countries and networks other than those listed?

Roaming Pass will not be available for purchase in countries not listed in the Promo Countries list. You will be charged with the Standard Roaming Charges if you roam in countries or networks that are not on the Promo Countries/Networks list.

24. Will these Roaming Pass be extended to more countries?

Yes, the Roaming Pass will be progressively extended to more countries and the list will be updated accordingly.

25. If I travel to 2 countries within 24 hours, how does the Roaming Pass work and how will I be charged?

Each Roaming Pass is country/network specific, - i.e. you will need to purchase a separate Roaming Pass for each participating network you roam in. For example, if you purchased a Roam10 pass in Sweden and roamed in Sweden, but then traveled to Denmark on the same day before expiry of the Roam10-Sweden pass, you will need to purchase another Roam10 pass upon arrival in Denmark to have roaming access in Denmark. You will be charged based on the number of purchases made.

26. Do I need to manually select a specific operator or may I use any available operators in the country to enjoy the Roaming Pass?

The Roaming Passes are offered in partnership with specific roaming operators in the relevant countries. As such, you will be need to ensure that you are logged-on to the correct operator/network to enjoy the packages. Please manually select the applicable operator/network in the visited country to enjoy the packages.

27. Can I switch to enjoy the Daily Unlimited Internet Roaming service once I have subscribed to Roaming Pass?

Once you have subscribed to a Roaming Pass, you will have to wait for your Roaming Pass subscription to expire before the Daily Unlimited Internet Roaming service can take effect.

28. Can I enjoy the Roaming Passes in countries and networks other than those listed?

Roaming Passes will not be available for purchase in countries not listed in the Promo Countries list. You will be charged with the Standard Roaming Charges if you roam in countries or networks that are not on the Promo Countries/Networks list.

2. When does this promotion run?

This promotion is valid from 23rd June to 31st July 2017 (Malaysia Time Zone).

3. What is the validity period of the Roam Promo Pass if I purchase it on the last day of promotion?

As long as you purchase the promo pass during the promotion period, you will get to enjoy 5 days (120 hours) of roaming. For example, if you purchase the Roam Promo Pass on the 31st July 2017 at 10.00am (Indonesian time), the pass will expire on the 5th Aug 2017 at 9.59am (Indonesian time) (i.e. 120 hours from the time of purchase).
