What is Google Play™?
Google Play™ is all of your Android™ apps and games, available on the web and anywhere you go.
What is Direct Billing for Google Play™?
It is a payment feature by Digi to you. You can now securely purchase apps in Google Play™ Store (or in-app) and pay via Digi. No credit card required!
How do I set it up?
Easy – just follow the simple steps below. Please note that this is a one-time setup.

Step 1: From the app you want to purchase, click on the “price” button
Step 2: Accept the access condition
Step 3: Click “CONTINUE” to set up Payment Method
Step 4: Select “Enable Digi billing”
Step 5: Enter your name and address – for billing reference
Step 6: Select “BUY” to proceed with the purchase with Digi billing
Step 7: Enter your Google password and select “CONFIRM”
Why can’t I see the “Enable Digi Billing” as my Payment Methods?
As this is a new service, it requires Google Play™ service update. It may take a bit of time. Please ensure you check the notifications and update accordingly. Please note that rooted devices or devices with custom firmware may not be updated.
What kinds of apps are available in Google Play™ Store?
There are over 1,000,000 apps on the Google Play™ Store. You can select and download the apps that you want. They are categorized under various categories such as Games, Apps, Books, etc.
Are all the apps in Google Play™ Store chargeable?
Nope. Most of the apps are free to download. However, some apps require purchase or on a Freemium basis. Freemium means the apps are free to download but have in-app purchases. In-app purchases are credits/points that you need to buy while going through the application, mostly applicable in games.
Is Google Play™ Direct Billing applicable for Prepaid and Postpaid customers?
Yes. This feature is applicable for Digi Prepaid and Digi Postpaid mobile customers.
How will the charges be reflected for Prepaid and Postpaid?
For Digi Prepaid customers, purchases will be taken from your credit – please ensure you have sufficient credit. Purchases for Digi Postpaid customers will be billed in the next bill cycle.

Will we be charged 6% GST for purchases made in Google Play™?
Yes, all purchases made in Google Play™ will incur 6% GST charge. Please note that pricing in Google Play™ excludes GST.
Can I get details of all the purchases I made in Google Play™?
You will receive notification or confirmation from Google via email on purchases made in Google Play™ Store. These notifications are sent to you real-time after your purchase. A complete historical detail of your transactions in Google Play™ is also available in your Google Wallet page.

We will also have a view of your Google Play™ purchases – however, there might be some delay. Transaction records will be available within 2-3 days after the purchase.
What are the other payment options available?
Other payment options available in Google Play™ Store are via credit or debit cards.
What is the default payment option?
If you have not done any purchase via Google Play™ Store, there will be no default payment option. To set it up or change the payment options, you should select the options next to the price and indicate your payment methods.

Subsequent purchases will be based on the last payment method, unless changed.
Will I get notifications after purchasing?
Of course! You’ll get email notification to your Google email, and the app purchased will appear in “My Apps” section of Google Play™ Store.

I changed my mind - what if I need to cancel my purchase?
No problem! You can cancel the purchase as long as it’s within Google refund policy window (2 hours). From Google Play™ Store, just select the purchased app and you will see the option to “Refund”.
Is there a limit for purchases?
Yes, there is a limit for purchases on Google Play.
  • Max of RM200 for each transaction.
  • Max of RM300 total for 30 days rolling window, subject to credit limit or credit balance ( Postpaid customers only).
  • Max of RM50 total for 30 days rolling window, specifically for purchases on Google Play™ Movies & TV, Google Play™ Books and Google Play™ Newsstand
We will review these limits from time to time.
What happens to my purchased / downloaded apps when I switch to a new Android™ device?
Don’t worry – as long as you are using the same Google account, it will detect the purchased / downloaded app. You will be able to re-install without purchasing again.

What is Windows Store?

Enabling purchase via Direct Billing for Windows Store is simple:
Step 1: From the apps, select “BUY” to purchase
Step 2: “Digi” will appear as payment method. Otherwise, click on “Add or switch payment methods”
Step 3: Select “BUY” to proceed with Digi as payment method
Step 4: App will auto download after successful purchase
Is Direct Billing for Windows Store applicable for Prepaid and Postpaid customers?

What happens to my purchased / downloaded apps when I switch to a new Windows Phone device?
Don’t worry – as long as you are using the same Windows ID, it will detect the purchased / downloaded app. You will be able to re-install without purchasing again.
Why carrier billing is not available even after Digi SIM is inserted?
You might need to upgrade the device software to the latest software version (at least GDR2). Click on Settings – Phone Update – Menu – Check for Updates.
 
Reboot the device, Digi SIM card must be in the device during reboot.
 
Automatic discovery can take sometimes several days and it requires AC wall charger or wireless charger, not USB charger, to be used.
 
Windows ID and device country setting should be set to Malaysia.
 
If Microsoft Store has been used first time in other country, it can be locked there and require phone reset to change to Malaysia.
 
The phone needs a data connection during out-of-the-box experience. If it is roaming and cannot connect to the network, discovery will not trigger until it’s plugged in overnight.
