How to turn on/off Data Roaming

These steps may vary depending on the software version of your device

  • IOS Go to Settings > Mobile Data >
    Mobile Data Options >
    slide the "Data Roaming" ON/OFF
  • Android Go to Settings > Mobile networks > slide the "Data Roaming" ON/OFF
     
How to purchase/subscribe to Roaming Pass
BEFORE DEPARTURE:
Make sure you turn off Data Roaming or Cellular Data/Mobile Data on your mobile phone
UPON ARRIVAL:

1. What is International Roaming (IR) service?

International roaming is when you are able to use your mobile on another mobile network overseas while still being billed by Digi.

2. What can I do with International Roaming services?

You will be able to:
–make voice call (Direct dial and/or USSD call back) and receiving voice call
–Sending and receiving SMS
–Internet roaming

3. How can I activate International Roaming service?

International Roaming service will be given by default upon your line registration (applicable to all new postpaid registration commencing from 23 January 2018). SMS will be sent to you upon successful International Roaming activation. However, if you do not wish to activate the International Roaming service upon line registration or cancel the International Roaming service at anytime, you may inform our customer service and request for service deactivation, or you can deactivate via MyDigi App or call Digi Helpline at 016-2211800.

4. How do I check if my International Roaming service is already activated?

You may check the status via MyDigi App, MyDigi Web, or call Digi Helpline at 016-2211800

5. My line was activated before 23 January 2018, how can I activate International Roaming service if it is still not activated?

You can activate your International Roaming service via MyDigi App

6. Can I change my International Roaming status at anytime?

Yes. You can manage your International Roaming service status at anytime via MyDigi App, (as long as your account is active and there is no overdue payment). You will be notify with SMS that International Roaming service status has bee updated.
Please note that International Roaming service cannot be deactivate if you have any existing valid roaming subscription such as Roam Like Home Monthly subscription.

7. If my line is barred/suspended, can I still activate International Roaming service via MyDigi App?

No, to activate IR service, your account must be active and there shall be no overdue payment from your account.

8. Will International Roaming service still available for me if I changed plan anytime?

Yes, the original offering will be provided as default services including International Roaming service. However, you may need to check the International Roaming service status via MyDigi App anytime.

9. Can I activate International Roaming service on behalf?

No, International Roaming service cannot be done by third party.

10. Will my International Roaming service expires?

No, your International Roaming service will be active as long as you don’t deactivate it.

11. Can I activate my International Roaming service while I am already in other countries?

You may email to help@digi.com.my or call *125# to request for International Roaming service activation.

12. What if I change my plan from Prepaid to Postpaid?

International Roaming service will be automatically provisioned upon postpaid line activation.

13. If I don’t activate my International Roaming service, can I still use the IR services (e.g.: Making calls, sending SMS, internet and etc.)?

No, you cannot use International Roaming services without International Roaming service being activated.

14. What if I have my International Roaming service activated, but I don’t wish to use roaming service while travelling?

We suggest to turn off your mobile cellular and data roaming function from your phone setting to avoid any roaming usages

15. Do I need to pay for International Roaming service if I don’t use any service while travelling?

No, you don’t have to pay as long as you do not use any roaming service.
